Training imparted in Sericulture:

KVK Sagroli is adopting innovative approaches in motivating farmers towards switching over to modern agriculture from the conventional farming which is totally dependent on the rain fall.  As we all have been experiencing, the weather conditions are getting more unpredictable day by bay leaving the practicing farmers in a baffled state.
In such a situation Sericulture is proved to be the best alternative with low cost, low maintenance but high yielding agro based practice.  A training and awareness programme was organized at KVK sagroli on 11-12 August under the guidance of the Dist. Sericulture officer, Shri P.J. Patil.  The participants were explained in detail about the construction of the worm-rearing house, growing of Malbary plants, tendering the silk worms etc.

In support of the training, the participants are given a demonstration at the ideal silk-worm rearing house developed by KVK Sagroli.  As told by the KVK staff, the yield has also recorded high financial profits for the past one and half year.
