10,000 sandalwood plants distributed to farmers:


        In a drive to motivate farmers towards sandalwood cultivation, the KVK, Sagroli had conducted several awareness programmes at the campus.  Usually, in a conventional way farmers tend to take-up poultry/ Goat farming  as parallel activities to the agriculture.   Though those alternatives are beneficial, they carry along, the risk of losses and need heavy investment costs.
        In a programme organized in the regard, Shri Mahendra ghogale, an expert in Sandalwood cultivation was invited to share his expertise with the farmers.  He was successful in convincing the farmers with the benefits and financial prosperity in sandalwood cultivation.  In response to the campaign, 36 farmers came forward to grow sandalwood trees as peripheral activity.  10,000 saplings were distributed freely to those first batch of farmers
